Knowing and learning your baby’s cues,

is great parenting!

Observing, listening, being present and getting to know your child is the journey of a new parent. To deeply receive them into your life and allow yourself to be forever changed. These tiny creatures crack open our hearts and for some it opens doors to our own emotional stories. Having the awareness of your own journey allows your child room to thrive into their own.

  • All the current research informs us the first three years of life are crucial. During this time the infant is establishing a healthy nervous system & brain development. Creating a secure attachment and sense of belonging that will frame their environment in the future. Taking the time and initiative to provide a growth environment during these first three years (and beyond) is the best parenting you can do.

  • Parenthood doesn’t come with an official guidebook and our culture doesn’t exactly train us on how to be a good parent. We often say we won’t do it “like our parents” and yet in many cases, we have no other role models and have no idea what a different path would be. Sometimes our own issues come flooding to the surface and we find ourselves projecting rather than listening and responding to our child. With the right support and guidance, you can allow yourself to grow as a parent and within yourself into the parent you would like to be.

In these early days, life feels a bit shaken up! This is a really good thing. As you come into balance you can begin in a new way. Bringing your love, attention, and awareness to yourself, your baby, and your family to provide a nurturing environment for everyone.

  • Birth is an extraordinary process.

Sometimes with the best-laid birth plans in place, things don’t always go exactly as planned. Often, we do not take the time to grieve the birth we were hoping for or deal with the emotions of the emergency that may have occurred.

This can be a missing and potent moment of feelings for you, the baby, and your partner. I would love to support you in taking the time to address the moment of birth. The joys, the trauma or simply the change of plans. Taking a moment to bring acceptance and kindness to the birth smooths out the coherence from labor to birth. Respecting and honoring all that happened in that time frame will support everything.

“Diane was the support I needed a few months postpartum. I had many mixed-emotional days, paired with feelings of self-judgment and that I wasn't doing parenthood "right."

Diane was a non-judgemental ear, and her support allowed me to see I was doing more than okay as a parent, and I must remember to nurture and parent myself. She is loving, kind, and wise; speaking to her brought me a sense of calm and that I was cared for. I highly recommend working with Diane at any point in your motherhood journey.”
